Re-entry Visa is Required for Long-term Visa holders of KoreaIssuing time:2022-02-20 10:56 With effect from 01 June 2020, 0000hrs, long-term visa holders are required to apply for Re-Entry Permit at local immigration office prior to leaving Korea if they wish to maintain their visa status and period of stay. Leaving Korea without Re-Entry Permit will result in cancellation of their Alien Registration in accordance to Article 37 of Immigration Act. In such cases, the foreigner must obtain a new long-term visa before re-entering Korea.
- The above measure does not apply to A-1 (Diplomatic), A-2 (Official), A-3 (Treaties) and F-4 (Overseas Korean) visa holders. - Long-term visa holders who departed Korea prior to 01 June 2020, 0000hrs, may re-enter Korea within the validity of their Alien Registration Card (ARC) without the Re-Entry Permit. 2. Undergo a pre-departure PCR test ▷ For VTL travellers / non-VTL travellers (via airport): the PCR test to be taken within 48 hours (2 days) of departure. ▷For non-VTL travellers (via seaport): the PCR test result must be issued within 72 hours of boarding the vessel bound for Korea Where to take the PCR test in Singapore ○ List of MOH-approved COVID-19 Test Providers(link) Things to take note of: ○ If the passenger received the test result by email, he/she is required to print it and present it to the airline personnel and quarantine authorities in hard copy. ○ Passengers transiting in Korea without an entry (i.e no immigration clearance) are not required to provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. ○ Passengers who travel from Country A and transit in Country B before arriving in Korea are required to provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued in: ▷Country B if they have transited in Country B with an entry (i.e immigration clearance at Country B) ○ Please refer to attachment for more details. |
